How does Charlotte Ronson envision fashion trends for next spring? With her tomboy-meets-bookworm collection presented this past weekend at Mercedez Benz Fashion Week, it's safe to say that Ms. Ronson's spring style will be playful, colorful, and light.
Clear plastic glasses, dresses and jumpsuits with skillful cutouts, eyelet, floral, and polka dot ruled the runway in Lincoln Center on Saturday night. Models wore colorful nameplate necklaces from Baublebar.com with sayings like "bookworm" in neon colors. White and navy were the main focus with pops of teal and yellow.
Makeup was understated with glowing skin and bronze-toned eyes. Lips were left very natural-- a slick of lip balm at most.
Hair was styled into an effortless deep side part with light waves. It was a natural wave, not at all contrived, to give the effect of air-dried hair.
Nails were manicured by Color Club stylists, who used white polish as a base for both manicures and pedicures. Black polka dots were drawn onto manicures to add texture and interest that would complement Ronson's fun spring looks. To get this nail look, try Color Club white polish in "French Tip" followed by Color Club "Where's the Soiree" black polish applied with a nail dotting tool.
