Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens: A Southern Spring begins today at Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens with a beautiful display of flowers and foliage. This week, DSGB will also feature Tai Chi in the Garden with Carol Feezell (Tuesday, 29th), and workshops on creating a indoor centerpiece with foliage and flowers (Saturday, 31th) and drawing with expressive color (Saturday, 30th). Also, make plans to join Peter Rabbit's Garden Adventure on Saturday from 9am to 3pm.
University of North Carolina Botanical Gardens: Mary Stauble will lead Creating a Certified Backyard Habitat. Learn how to turn your backyard into a hospitable environment that encourages native birds and insects to make your yard their home. The cost for the course is $81. Witherspoon Rose Culture: Start growing herbs in your backyard! In Saturday's workshop, you will create a container herb garden with three organic herb plants for your home garden. Call 1-800-643-0315 to register for the course. The course fee is $20.
