Charlotte Gardening Examiner: April 30 - May 6

There will be a number of great festivals, tours and events in Charlotte this week! Learn more about Charlotte's community gardens in the 2nd Annual "Can You Dig It" tour. You can also enjoy a musical evening at Wing Haven, or classes at DSBG!

Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens: "A Southern Spring" will continue through May 18th. Enjoy the beautiful spring plants at DSBG. Classes on container gardening will be offered on Tuesday, May 1 and Saturday, May 5, as well as classes on Tai Chi, Vegetable gardening and photography.

Wing Haven Spring Musical Evening: May 4, from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Ayoung Lee will present some of her favorite selections for piano, followed by light refreshments.

2nd Annual "Can You Dig It: Charlotte Community Garden Tour". This self-guided tour provides an opportunity to learn more about community gardening in Charlotte, and to purchase locally grown vegetables. The tour starts at Atherton Mills Farmers Market at 8am, and ends with a garden gathering at Winterfield gardens. As this is a tour of food gardens, there are some guidelines, such as not bringing your pets, wearing appropriate footwear and bringing your own reusable drinkware.
