This Saturday, May 15, 2010 is the annual Dragon Boat and Asian Festival at Ramsey Creek State Park in Cornelius, NC.

The Dragon Boat race is one of the earliest forms of racing from around the world. It has been an engaging, annual charitable event for corporate and community teams to have fun and compete against each other in a set distance in Lake Norman.

Along with the racing festivities is the cultural celebration of various Asian cultures including China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Myanmar, Philippines, Srilanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam. Enjoy the collaborative efforts of these cultures through art, music, dance, authentic food, crafts and pageants at the adjoining Asian Festival.

The event runs from 11 am until 5pm at Ramsey Creek State Park which is located just north of Charlotte in Cornelius, NC via Interstate 77 (exit 28).
