Charlotte Animal Care and Control says May pet adoption offers variety and acessibility

It's that time of month again when shoppers and animals can meet face to face in the Southpark Shopping Mall.  Charlotte Animal Control takes adoptable pets to the shopping center and showcases them at Circle Court, near Neiman Marcus.  The event is Saturday, May 1st.

Animal Control Public Relations director, Melissa Knicely says the event is successful because it gives

adopters a chance to interact with the animals in an environment different from the animal shelter.

Some potential adopters do not want to go to an animal shelter to adopt.  Diane Pelletier says, "If  I went to the shelter, I would want to take them all.  It's hard to leave those behind."

This shopping center is a more upbeat environment for showcasing pets.  The event will be held at Southpark, located at 4400 Sharon Road.   It begins at 10:00am and lasts until 4:00pm.
