Charlie White's Gold Medal in Ice Dancing brings the US medal count to 25

USA total medal count of 25 medals at 2010 Winter Games; and 4 medalists are from Utah. Charlie White and Merle Davis won the Silver yesterday in Ice Dancing to bring the current medal count to twenty-five, and four of those medalists are from Utah.

Tuesday, the US didn’t win any medals at the Olympic Games and was trailing behind Germany, but the US has added medals each day, and on Saturday three were added and another Gold medal on Sunday.

Four of those medals have been won by Utah athletes; another athlete lives in Utah part-time, and many of the athletes (including Bode Miller) have trained in Park City, Utah before the 2002 Olympic Games. The US medals won so far are 7 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals.

Apolo Anton Ohno lives in Salt Lake City and Saturday he won the Bronze medal in the Short Track 1000m, he now holds the record for the most medals won at the Winter Olympic Games of any US athlete.
