Charlie Sheen wants to be Lindsay Lohan’s mentor and savior

Charlie Sheen wants to take on a new role, but not in a movie or TV series. According to TMZ on March 3, the quirky and sometimes difficult actor wants to become Lindsay Lohan’s savior and mentor. Charlie feels he’s got the right stuff to help the troubled actress.

"I have a kinship with somebody [Lindsay] who clearly needs a mentor, whether she wants one or not. She can continue to hang out with her dress shredding club buddies, or turn to me for some advice from a guy who's been down the road as well as every other side trail on the journey."

He adds, "If she listens, she'll win. If she doesn't, that's on her."

Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan apparently became good friends while working on “Scary Movie 5,” so much so that Charlie whipped out his checkbook and gave her $100,000 to help with her tax problems. It took her quite a while to say thank you, but that didn’t deter Charlie from wanting to help again.

And now LiLo will be appearing in an episode of Charlie’s show “Anger Management.” Is that another handout from Charlie to help the actress’s flagging career?

And what is Charlie getting out of this? Are they friends with benefits? Charlie says no. "I love her, I respect her, and I've never laid a finger on her that wasn't on film. How ya like me now, America?"
