First Charlie Sheen claimed he and Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa partied hard in Mexico, next the mayor denied those claims, then Sheen called Villaraigosa a liar, now Sheen apologizes.
One thing’s for sure. Charlie Sheen and Mayor Villaraigosa were together in Cabo San Lucas at witnessed by the photo above posted on Twitter by the “Anger Management” star. Then the encounter details get a bit shady. Sheen told TMZ:
“We hung out for the better part of 2 hours, discussing his L.A. roots, his poignant bullet campaign as well as his 3 AM lawn-watering tactics. He's a terrific guy, a great Mayor and he can drink with the best of 'em: Me. Quite a memorable night indeed." He went on to say that they spent time in a hotel room with “at least one porn star and several other hot women.”
Villaraigosa denied Sheen’s claims stating the two were together for all of three minutes while he was on vacation in Cabo San Lucas and he specifically asked Sheen not to post any pictures.
Now Sheen is apologizing for his statements about Villaraigosa saying:
“The mayor was visiting friends in San Jose del Cabo, who were at the opening of the El Ganzo hotel and bar where my share of the ownership is 100% committed to the Los Cabos Children’s Foundation. Mayor Villaraigosa was gracious enough to take a photo with me while we are at the same event. The mayor spoke to many other people during the opening, as well as I did. I am a giant fan of the mayor’s, and apologize if any of my words have been misconstrued.”
So all in the same breath Sheen plugged his commitment to the Los Cabos Children’s Foundation and apologized for his Villaraigosa rant. Definitely not epic Charlie Sheen.
