According to a Jan. 10 TMZ report, Charlie Sheen contributed $12,000 to funeral expenses for Chris Guerra, who was struck and killed while chasing Justin Bieber’s Ferrari. Sheen reportedly wrote the check to cover a huge portion of the funeral expenses incurred by the photographer’s family. Guerra will be buried in a private service tomorrow, reports the publication.
Sheen is reportedly close to a former photographer who was friends with Guerra, and after hearing that the family was raising funds to cover funeral expenses, Sheen offered his help. When contacted by TMZ, Sheen offered his deepest condolences to the family.
“A tragic incident like this erases the line between the photographer and the subject. It's an unforgiving moment that begs us all to be human and work as one to prevent this in the future,” said Sheen. He added, “As parents, we are all not supposed to bury our children. My deepest condolences to the families involved.”
