Charlie Sheen knows a thing or two about spiraling out of control, and that’s why the actor wants to help Lindsay Lohan before she crashes and burns, according to a Mar. 3 TMZ report. “I have a kinship with somebody [Lindsay] who clearly needs a mentor, whether she wants one or not. She can continue to hang out with her dress shredding club buddies, or turn to me for some advice from a guy who's been down the road as well as every other side trail on the journey,” the “Anger Management” actor told TMZ. /
He continued, “If she listens, she'll win. If she doesn't, that's on her.” According to TMZ, the two actors got close when filming “Scary Movie 5” together and Sheen even gave the actress $100,000 to help with her IRS liabilities. He is also helping her with work. Lindsay is slated to appear on an upcoming episode of “Anger Management.”
In addition to the $100,000, Sheen also got Lohan some help in the fashion department for an amFar event on Feb. 6, according to Us Weekly. He snagged a Thea gown for the actress from his celebrity stylist friend Phillip Bloch, but Lohan repaid the favor in her own tacky little way. She returned the dress ruined – ripped in half.
“She said that the dress had ripped [at a club after the fundraiser] -- she couldn't possibly wear it like that -- so her stylist friend went to the club bouncer and requested some scissors to repair the torn part of the dress,” a source told Us. “But what bouncer has scissors?”
It appears Sheen is not giving up on Lohan and knows that there is hope for change. “I love her, I respect her, and I've never laid a finger on her that wasn't on film. How ya like me now, America?” he told TMZ.
