Charlie Sheen on Lohan: Actor says Lindsay Lohan just needs a good role model

Charlie Sheen on Lohan and her lifestyle is making celebrity news headlines this weekend, as the Huffington Post reported this Sunday, March 3, that Charlie Sheen recently opened up on his close relationship with Lindsay Lohan, and that the two are close friends.

Under the headline, “Charlie Sheen on Lohan: ‘Lindsay needs a mentor, whether she wants one or not,’” Charlie Sheen spoke out this week about how he feels a “kinship” of sorts with LiLo, and that he just wants to help her get her life back on track. He feels he is one of the few who can do so as that mentor, too.

In an interview, Sheen admitted that his previous experiences would make him a great role model for Lohan, as he too has dealt with various legal issues, court charges, substance abuse, and potential jail time in the last several years.

"I have a kinship with somebody [Lindsay Lohan] who clearly needs a mentor, whether she wants one or not," said the 47-year-old “Two and a Half Man” actor. "She can continue to hang out with her dress shredding club buddies, or turn to me for some advice from a guy who's been down the road as well as every other side trail on that journey. If she listens, she'll win," he concluded, "If she doesn't, that's on her."

Charlie Sheen on Lohan’s wellbeing is not necessarily new, as Sheen has tried to help the troubled “Mean Girls” star in the past, lending Lilo $100,000 to pay off past tax debt after their time together on the “Scary Movie 5” set. Some have even wondered if their close relationship has hinted something further, even romantic, between Sheen and Lohan. But Sheen says this is definitely not the case.

"I love her, I respect her, and I've never laid a finger on her that wasn't on film," he tells TMZ. "How do ya like me now, America?"
