Yesterday, Charlie Sheen took center stage for celebrity gossip as he went on Twitter and vehemently scolded Rihanna in a long-winded and name-calling tweet after she refused to meet his fiance. His tone is a bit more bombastic, but did we expect anything less from him?
Both parties were separately dining at the same restaurant, when Sheen made a request to introduce his fiance to Rihanna, since she is, or -- was, a big fan. But Rihanna wasn’t rude, she simply declined his request because she wanted to avoid the paparazzi. However, Sheen took her reply to a whole other level on Twitter; in a crazy rant like a baby who get’s a toy taken away, or a teenager who is grounded from using their cell phone -- lets face it, Sheen went ape-s&*%. Although his initial intentions were thoughtful, his reactions after he didn’t get what he asked for was childish, and (just because you ask for something doesn’t mean you’re always going to get a yes) -- who died and made him king?
Apparently Sheen took his “gal out to dinner last night for her” birthday, and when he found out Rihanna was there he wanted to take the one “random chance in 11 million”, according to his tweet, to introduce one of Rihanna’s fans. But his TwitLonger went onto say rude innuendos about the award winning artist. “Sorry we’re not KOOL enough to warrant a blessing from the Princess.” Actually, for the record Rihanna has more than 200 awards for her work, so by definition she’s kinda a pop-star princess. He didn’t stop there though; he kept typing and calling her a liar, and then he couldn’t resist; continuing to tease her about what she was wearing. Wonder if he might have a clue as to why Rihanna may have dissed him under the guise of hiding from paparazzi?
Rihanna played it “KOOL,” and didn’t go off in a long-winded rant. Some say her tweet on May 22, “if that old queen don’t get ha diapers out of a bunch…” was intended as a her reply. Today her tweet had 4,826 retweets and 6,125 favorites, while Sheen’s has been retweeted 3,305, and has 3,433 favorites. Obviously when someone is a pop-princess they don’t exactly have a whole lot of time to spend going off on Twitter; especially to someone who clearly couldn’t take a respectful no for an answer. Can't we all just get along?
