Charlie Sheen may not exactly be getting a ton of love from the public right now, but the audience at the "Two and a Half Men" taping on Friday reportedly provided enough to almost make up for it. According to a new report by TMZ, the actor received both a standing ovation when he walked onto the taping and when he left.

Before last Friday, "Two and a Half Men" had opted to tape without a live audience. Why? Reports suggested that it may have been an easier transition for Sheen, who is still facing backlash over his alleged domestic assault of wife Brooke Mueller on Christmas Day. The actor is next due in court on July 21 for the trial, and the aftermath of the incident has already made a major impact on set. Two episodes were cut from the top-rated sitcom's initial order of 24 after Charlie decided to enter a rehab facility in February.

Following his taping on Friday, Sheen returned to rehab in Malibu where he continues to receive treatment in between tapings.

Do you think Charlie Sheen deserved a standing ovation after all of this drama, or is this audience out of their mind? Let me know what you think below and check back soon for more TV news.

Charlie deserves an ovation. He is a great actor, and this show lets him be himself. The rest of the team challenges and makes it so hilarious, they just fit. My son is a lot like Jake and we often think he should get a shot at being Jakes buddy on the show, believe me it would give it a twist and alot of laughter for years to come. Charlie is great, his personal life is his own. The show is for all of us, his fans. We love you Charlie, and your show.
