Charlie Sheen opened his bar this weekend at El Ganzo, the “hippest hotel” in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and while everyone was having a good time, Sheen hurled out what appeared to be a homophobic slur, TMZ reported on Dec. 30. The incident was caught on video.
Los Angeles mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and Dr. Robert Huizenga from NBC’s “The Biggest Loser” were on hand to enjoy several musical acts. Sources say that Sheen was the life of the party, walking around, kissing girls, shaking hands and taking pictures with everyone at the party.
Then, for some unknown reason, while introducing several musical acts, Sheen yelled out, “How we doing?...Lying bunch of f**got a**holes, how we doing?”
Sheen had this to say to TMZ:
“I meant no ill will and intended to hurt no one and I apologize if I offended anyone. I meant to say maggot but I have a lisp.”
Fans have never noticed that Charlie speaks with a lisp, and it is more likely that the star of FX’s “Anger Management” was drunk when introducing the musical acts to the crowd. Sheen has a history of inappropriate behavior, including sex with prostitutes and public drunkenness.
A representative for the mayor of Los Angeles said that the mayor has “no comment” on the episode.
“Anger Management” was recently picked up by FX for an additional 90 episodes. The new season of “Anger Management” will begin airing on FX on Jan. 17 with a double episode beginning at 9:00 p.m. ET.
