Charlie Sheen drops bombs: Can his obvious use of media carry him again? (Video)

Charlie Sheen, the madman of that two and a half sort of show, is at it again. Just when you wished he’d go away, then come back again, and then go away once more so you could watch it again, has managed to make his way into the headlines today. The venerable TV star just revealed that he’s going to be a grandfather. Charlie Sheen, 47, has announced “fabulous” news that he is to become a grandfather, according to the Daily News. What’s left to wonder is if his recent pronouncements will translate into ratings for his sitcom.

The 47-year-old “Anger Management” star told David Letterman that his 28-year-old daughter Cassandra Estevez is expecting her first child. This reported by E! News, Congrats!

When Letterman asked the controversial actor about those days surrounding his being fired from “Two And a Half Men”, Charlie was his honest self. “Of Course. Have you seen some of those interviews? That stuff’s out there forever, man”.

But back to basics, Dave had to prod the man about what it’s like to be facing another generation in his family. “Me as a grandfather, Dave... I don't know. It's like the world's going to crack in half”, Sheen joked.

He quickly added, “It's fabulous. It's just not a title I'm ready to adopt”, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Besides his oldest daughter Cassandra, Sheen is also the father to daughters Sam, eight, and Lola, seven, with second wife Denise Richards, and three-year-old twins, Bob and Max, with third wife Brooke Mueller.

Charlie Sheen is set to debut in season two of “Anger Management” on Jan. 17 on FX, and conveniently let loose on Letterman about the prospects of becoming a dad once again.

During his “Late Show” interview with David Letterman Charlie Sheen also referred to his notorious meltdown in 2011, which led to the him being fired from his hit TV show “Two and a Half Men”.

When Letterman asked the troubled star if crack cocaine had been a factor in the meltdown, Charlie said that he wished that it was and alluded that it was something much deeper than any kind of substance abuse.
