Charlie Sheen coming back to 'Two and a Half Men'

As it turns out, Charlie Sheen was able to get a deal on returning to "Two and a Half Men" before CBS announces their full schedule on Wednesday. In a statement through his publicist, the actor announced that he will be returning to the hit comedy to play Charlie Harper:

“To put a fitting end on the two and one-half months of whirlwind speculation, I’m looking forward to returning to my CBS home on Monday nights.  I want to thank Les Moonves for his support.”

At one point earlier this year, it looked like Sheen was ready to move on with his career following tense negotiations with the network over salary in addition to personal issues involving wife Brooke Mueller and reported substance-abuse issues. Terms of the new deal are not immediately available, but Sheen was asking for somewhere near $2 million an episode in order to stay on the show.

Are you happy that Sheen will still be on board "Two and a Half Men?" Let me know your thoughts with a comment and stay tuned for more of the latest TV news. (To view highlights of Sheen on "Two and a Half Men," click here.)
