Charlie Hunnam and Dakota Johnson are on track to be the next Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart as “Fifty Shades of Grey” is anticipated to be one of the biggest movies of all time. These two actors are not that well known, but this movie will change all that, according to “Fox and Friends” on Tuesday morning Sept. 3.
According to CNN, it was “Fifty Shades of Grey” author E.L. James who tweeted the official pick for the movie casting on Labor Day. Hunnam and Johnson are on the front page of the New York Times today as the two actors cast as Christian Grey and Anastasia.
The two fictitious characters from the book are more famous than the actors slated to play them, but that is due to change as soon as the movie hits the screen next year. “Fox and Friends” today suggests that many people are waking up this morning saying Charlie who?, Dakota who?
Charlie Hunnam is famous among fans of “Sons of Anarchy,” a show on FX that brings you into the inner workings of a biker gang. It is like the HBO show “Sopranos,” but with a lot of leather and it's done on two wheels. Dakota Johnson has played roles in “21 Jump Street” and “Five-Year Engagement.” She is the daughter of Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson.
At 11a.m. on Sept. 2, E.L. James tweeted:
"I am delighted to let you know that the lovely Dakota Johnson has agreed to be our Anastasia in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey."
This was followed by another tweet at 12 noon on Sept. 2, by James:
"The gorgeous and talented Charlie Hunnam will be Christian Grey in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey."
It was E.L. James who had this vision of two people from two very different walks of life to embark on a sexual journey that caught the attention of the nation. Apparently Hunnam and Johnson fit the faces that she had in mind when she penned "Fifty Shades of Grey."
Many are scratching their heads this morning after expecting some big names to show up on the marquee for "Fifty Shades," but how can anyone disagree with her choice? It was her creation to begin with and now she's adding the tangible details of three dimensional live people, again it was her vision that brought these fictional people into mainstream USA. Don't let the leather, chains and biker grease fool you, Hunnam cleans up nicely and his acting is second to none!
