English actor Charlie Cox will be on the right side of the law, as the Boardwalk Empire alumni will play the covet role of Marvel's Daredevil in Netflix's upcoming 13-episode series, according to Deadline.
Created by Stan Lee in 1964, Daredevil is the alter-ego of Matt Murdock, a blind attorney with extrarordinary senses who seeks justice in the courtrooms during the day, and prowls the rooftops at night as the Man Without Fear -- bringing justice on the streets of Hell's Kitchen in New York City.
Daredevil was first played by future Batman Ben Affleck in writer/director Mark Steven Johnson's 2003 film that introduced the Oscar winner to future wife Jennifer Garner, who played his love interest Elektra, a role she also reprise in the 2005 spin-off.
Along with Jessica Jones, Heroes for Hire Luke Cage and Danny Rand (Power Man and Iron Fist), Daredevil will pave the way to set up The Defenders, Marvel's team of superheroes who tackles the threats that no superhero can never withstand.
Daredevil is set to premiere on Netflix sometime next year.
