The Charleston County Public Library is inviting everyone to attend its fifth annual Small Business Fair on Thursday, March 18th 2010. This fair will be a full day of free workshops, counseling and networking for small business owners, employers, entrepreneurs, and those considering starting a business.
Workshops will be held from 10 am to 3 pm at the Main Branch, 68 Calhoun Street. Participation is Free.
There will be feature representatives and multiple organizations and government agencies in attendance to offer services and assistance in the area of small business from 10 am to 1 pm in the exhibit area.
From 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, representatives from the local Charleston Chapter of SCORE will provide free individual business advice and consultation.
From 10 to 10:45 am, speaker Barret Tolbert, Small Business Enterprise Manager, will present a workshop on "Doing Business with Charleston County."
From 11 to 11:45 am, speaker Pat Eardley, Human Resources Advisor, will present a workshop on "Top Human Resource Tips for Small Businesses."
From 12:30 to 1:15 pm, speaker Amanda Holling, Business Reference Librarian, will present a workshop on "Do-It-Yourself Online Marketing Research."
From 1:30 to 3:00 pm, speakers Mary Dickerson, Director of FastTracSC and Cindi Rourk, of the Local Charleston Development Corp., will present a workshop on "Money Matters: Funding Your Small Business."
Tours will be offered of the Library’s Reference Department and Business Center from 12:00 pm to 2:45 pm. Information will be provided on the services and resources offered by the Library to help businesses.
