The highly anticipated single, “Better” from dynamic ensemble Charles Butler & Trinity will make its debut on iTunes on Wednesday, Jan. 30. The song is the lead single from their debut project of the same name.
Charles Butler & Trinity are highly respected in the gospel music industry and are also in great demand. The group boasts a powerful cadre of vocalists, including Jeremiah Hicks ("Kings Men Tour" background vocalist), Mumen "Mookie" NgeNge. Butler masterfully directs this ensemble in a song that speaks to hope and victory over life's struggles.
“Better” was penned by James Ziegler and evokes thoughts of Psalms 23:4 where the psalmist says, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil.” Listeners will be encouraged to know, “You will walk through your valley; not crawl through it, so keep living and know that things will get better."
EPM Music Group CEO Earnest Pugh introduced Butler, his most recent signee, to the world during Stellar Awards Week. Butler walked the BMI Trailblazers Awards and the Stellar Awards red carpets and easily handled questions from the press. The group also has the support of several industry heavy-hitters, including Kirk Franklin and Kierra Sheard who made videos encouraging fans to get the new single. Formed when Butler was still in high school, Charles Butler & Trinity quickly became the “go-to” background vocalists for many gospel artists. The group has provided vocals for Earnest Pugh, JJ Hairston and Youthful Praise, Byron Cage, Michelle Williams of Destiny’s Child and many others. They have performed numerous times on BET's Bobby Jones Gospel and were featured on Pugh's Top Ten album, “Christmas with Earnest Pugh and Friends.” In 2011, their song “You Can Live” was one of the most popular songs on the “Jawn Murray Presents: Untapped” compilation CD.
Their debut project, “Better” will be released nationwide Feb. 26.To learn more about Charles Butler & Trinity, visit their official Facebook page.
