Annual 4th of July festival in Northern Nevada is raising money to support Saving America's Mustangs (SAM) with a 2012 charity calendar and promotional campaign.
Wild Nevada mustangs are rounded up (sometimes brutally) and kept in pens. SAM is building a sanctuary for the captured mustangs. This organization is the beneficiary for our 2012 Calendar.
This calendar was shot at Northern Nevada's 4th of July event at Rancho Rico outside Yerington, Nevada. The festival is called Burning Girl and is located on a 100-acre ranch surrounded by BLM land where the wild mustangs roam freely. The unforgettable event included four days of live bands, camping, swimming, hiking and horseback riding. Attendees flew in on helicopters, small airplanes and state of the art busses. Photographers shot the calendar models through out the event and the best photos were selected for the calendar. Net proceeds will go directly to SAM. These calendars make wonderful Christmas gifts and will be going to a very important cause. You can your calendar now by going to: www.burninggirl.myevent.com
