Charges filed against man who duct-taped dog

A dog discovered with duct tape wrapped around her muzzle and legs is said to be recovering while under the care of a veterinarian.

Her owner, 26-year-old Russell Seese of Greentown, Pa., was charged with cruelty to animals on Tuesday, according to Philly.com.

After receiving a tip, the Pennsylvania Humane Society police went out to investigate. They found the Labrador Retriever, Pit Bull mix dog wrapped in duct tape in an outbuilding on the owners property.

It has not been disclosed which veterinarian is currently caring for the unnamed dog, but she will undoubtedly remain there until she recovers. After that, it is expected that she will be held as part of the investigation.

An online court search determined that Seese was charged with two counts of cruelty to animals. He has a preliminary hearing set up for April 2, 2013. In Pennsylvania, cruelty to animals is a second-degree misdemeanor.
