With NFL training camp just around the corner, San Diego Charger fans are likely licking their chops with anticipation.

After several years of mediocre play, the Chargers bolted to the playoffs last season, defeating Cincinnati on the road before losing to rival Denver in a close contest in the Mile High City.

Set to open the home season Sept. 14 versus the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks, the Chargers are offering their fans Select-A-Seat Day on Sunday, July 20 at Qualcomm Stadium.

Fans can enter the stadium through Gate C from 8 a.m. to noon to preview desired season seat locations available for the 2014 home games. Season seats – some of the best available in years – are available on a first-come, first-served basis in a variety of locations and price categories, including a limited number of lower-level seats, according to the team. Many seats are now available to the general public following the team’s renewal and upgrade of current season ticket members. Season ticket prices start at just $39 per game.

Fans purchasing season tickets this Sunday will receive a limited-edition Chargers Replica Micro-Helmet (one per account). Buyers of the first 100 season seats will receive a free commemorative trolley pass per seat for all 2014 regular season home games. Special payment plans also are available for all seating locations.

The stadium will also this Sunday see participants in the fourth annual Kaiser Permanente Bolt to the Q 5K who will be crossing the finish line on the field during the event.
