Chardonny wine cube is Halloween treat

Just as the formula for cube is in the esoteric mathematic category, Target’s 2010 1.3 Liter chardonnay wine cube is pleasure times three.

The wines from this value in a box (around $8) are sourced from quality growing areas throughout California and packaged in state of the art tidy boxes. The wine is not exposed to two enemies– oxygen and light – and can stay fresh as the first glass for up to four weeks.

The wine inside the golden yellow box is has aromas of baked apples on an autumn afternoon. The taste on the palate is crisp with flavors of citrus, kiwi and creamy vanilla. The finish is lush and long lasting.

The box can be easily concealed when entertaining. Serious wine drinkers will be astonished that the big taste came in a little box.

Here’s another idea: hide the box in a hallowed out pumpkin to treat Halloween revelers. Or disguise the container in a witch’s brew caldron.

Serve this wine chilled with crab, creamy chicken salad with diced almonds and celery, nutty cheese (such as Fontina), roasted loin of pork, baked flounder with shrimp meat stuffing, pasta with Alfredo sauce or baked apples with cinnamon.

Fall is a perfect time for enjoying this chardonnay with your creativity.
