Chap Oscar’s Ten Cents Advice That Works!

Chap Oscar’s Ten Cents Drive to Benefit Hunger in Nashville, TN

Chaplain Oscar Smith’s Very Workable Plan for your involvement:
Make a label with Chap Oscar’s Ten Cents Food Bank and place it on a big large wide mouth jar.
Place it on your dresser or kitchen counter and drop your change in it every night.
Also make second jar for your car drink holder so that whenever you go through a drive-through and you end up with change deposit it.
Make another Chap Oscar’s Ten Cents Food Bank label with a not as big but large jar and put it in your break room at work.
Place a picture of a Big Smile on it and encourage fellow workers to drop in loose change and maybe a few stray bills.
Now many of my dear friends own a business, would you please put a Chap Oscar’s Ten Cent Food Bank jar at your register and invite customers to contribute.
Thank you in advance my C-Level friends create a matching gift campaign, take advantage of it. Dear Oscar,
Thanks for getting in touch with me and letting me know what’s on your mind regarding the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP).
SNAP provides financial assistance for food purchasing to low-income families in the United States and is administered by the Food and Nutrition Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Every five years, SNAP is reauthorized by Congress as part of the Farm Bill. I voted in support of the Agriculture Reform, Food, and Jobs Act of 2012, the Farm Bill, which passed the Senate on June 21, 2012, with a margin of 64-35. This bill includes approximately $768 billion in funding for the nutrition title. I was pleased the Senate worked together and produced a bill that cuts over $20 billion in spending from current law.
In light of our chronic budget deficits, we need to be vigilant that we are spending taxpayer dollars wisely. I will continue to support efforts to ensure that funding for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and other assistance programs are well-spent.
It is important that low-income families receive the help they need to put food on the table and as Congress continues to consider the 2012 Farm Bill I will keep your information and requests in mind regarding nutrition programs.
Sincerely,
Lamar
