According to a Feb. 19 report from the New York Post, Hollywood hunk Channing Tatum recently put UFC star Cung Le in a gorgeous standing rear-naked choke at Saints and Sinners in New Orleans on Feb. 3.
“He had great technique for that picture,” Le said of Tatum's choke hold. “It wasn’t like I was blue in the face, ready to pass out. We were just having fun.”
Some sports fans in attendance thought the "fight" between Tatum and Le was serious, but the UFC star wants everyone to know that he was just horsing around.
“Somehow it got out that people got scared,” Le, a UFC star, told The Post. “We were off on our own part. It’s not like we knocked over anyone in the bar. Luckily we didn’t knock over the drinks in the bar. It’s just two buddies rough housing.”
“He got my horse riled up,” Le said. “I flew 12 feet up in the air. Luckily I’m pretty acrobatic. I tucked and rolled. I got up and said, ‘Dude, you almost killed me.’ We get crazy.”
The 40-year-old Le isn't sure when his next UFC fight will be, as he's still trying to recover from elbow surgery.
Despite his advanced age, he's still a legitimate main event fighter. He's coming off a brilliant knockout victory over Rich Franklin, which was easily one of the best highlight-reel strikes of 2012.
