The crew will be at FMX la Frontera at 11:30 in the morning to interview the young riders, film the park, talk with families and fans, and get enough footage for a great news story.
Also this week-end, Shaun Holguin of El Rancho Escondido will be around the park, handing out flyers to patrons. El Rancho Escondido is a new park advertiser, and offers 10% discounts on food items to patrons who are wearing FMX la Frontera wrist bands. The discount applies to food items only.
El Rancho Escondido has been an El Paso landmark. It reopened September 18, 2007 under the management of long time resident Eddie Holguin. The food is superb, and the Mexican plates are enormous, a characteristic of this long-time local favorite. The “chile con queso” burger has chunks of fresh roasted green chile in melted cheese and comes with fresh French fries. Red and green salsa accompany the overflowing bowls of chips, and the desert flan is definitely worth saving room for.
On practice week-ends, only riders have wrist bands, but spectators get wrist bands on race week-ends, and the combined benefits of the excitement of the Point Series and the delicious dinner afterwards definitely make the trip and the day worth it.
