According to a Tweet today Feb. 26, 2013 by @Wizards_Magic, the recent changes to the snow mana symbol on the official "Magic: The Gathering" card search engine The Gatherer was "a mistake."
Winter is not coming. The snow mana symbol that is currently on Gatherer is a mistake. Fix coming soon.
Despite the error by Wizards of the Coast all hopes for a reprint of snow cards haven't melted yet. This summer's upcoming "Modern Masters" set is the perfect place to reprint the five snow-covered land, Mouth of Ronom, Scrying Sheets, and a few other cards that care about the obscure supertype.
There's also a chance that older snow-covered permanents might be reprinted in "Magic 2014" and "Duels of the Planeswalkers 2014," however it'd be a lot more likely for them to appear in a new Commander deck later this year.
