The trendy thing to do is to take pictures and post to applications like Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Tumblr. Bloomburg has reported on October 3, that Instagram will begin to be an ad support application in the coming months.
Many celebrities, fitness personalities, and every people inspiring others to lose weight use Instagram to post their progress and to keep fans engaged. Instagram was purchased by Facebook in 2012. They stated though the application and website will be ad supported, they will have a feature that allows the member to hide ads, just as Facebook has implemented.
Instagram has had a few hiccups in the past year. The first was a few months back when they released the term of service revised edition, that stated that member’s pictures could be used or sold without their consent by Instagram. The company, since the upset from members has changed that policy.
The company is hoping that the ad supported website and application will help with the cost of advertising and running the website. These cost now, are becoming more and more challenging for the company to pay and make a profit. Instagram is a free service for all the members. What do you think of the change?
