The Cincinnati area has always been fortunate to have alot of resources for crafters. Even though in the last few years many of the specialized stores, such as Stamp Your Art Out, Bead Circus and Ally Beads have closed their brick and mortar stores, we are still fortunate enough tohost to one of the best stamping conventions in the country, Stampaway USA.

Traditionally held in August at the Sharonville convention center, this 5 day extravaganza of classes, shopping and demonstrations is an annual event not only for area stampers but from crafters across the country. The 2014 event just concluded August 5-9. This week dates and changes were announced for the 2015 event, once again to be held at the Sharonville Convention Center.

The CoCo Key Resort (formerly Crowne Plaza) is no longer going to be the center of activities. Instead a limited number of reasonably priced rooms have been reserved in two other hotels in proximity to the convention center, LivInn Hotels and the Fairfield Inn and Suites. Classes will all be held in the lower level of the Sharonville Convention Center starting August 5-7, 2015. The preview party is scheduled for the evening of August 7, 2014, the convention August 8, 2015

The convention organizers are also looking for input regarding the Friday Preview Party, after food ran out early this year. The proposed options are:

A. Keep the Light Buffet with hours of 7:30-9:00

B. Keep the Light Buffet with hours of 7:30-9:00, with attendees receiving a ticket to go through the entree line only one time.

C. Have a Combination Ticket (Friday Night & Saturday) priced at $20 and you would purchase your own food at the concession stand.

The official Stampaway email address is stampaway@fuse.net if you would like to comment on these choices or check out the new Stampaway Facebook Page. As always, the website contains complete information regarding classes, vendors, times and locations.
