Change the meaning of war

According to the Encarta Dictionary, the meaning of the word war is conflict, and serious effort to end something.  Even the greatest wars, World Wars, start with conflict.

Think about this fact and now consider it in relation to war.  This minuscule genetic difference potentially can end the world as we know it through warfare; conflict exploded by ego and world power.

As communicated by Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor in her book, My Stroke of Insight (discussed on Oprah’s Super Soul Sunday), we, as part of the human species, share 99.9% of identical genetic sequences.  There is only a 100th of 1% difference between us genetically speaking.

Why is it that it is so easy to focus on this small difference than to encourage love and connection through our 99.9% of human species equality?

The message in this article is to focus on our likeness and to come from our place of equality in the human race.  It all comes down to the development of compassion and love for oneself, inwardly, which reflects outward into the world.

Together, this year, let’s embrace how identical we all are, and let’s change the meaning of war by manifesting a serious effort to end conflict by meeting in the middle, united!
