Coco Mademoiselle eau de parfum by Chanel was named the "Best Sexy Scent" by Allure Magazine for October 2010. Allure Magazine, which is one of the premiere fashion magazines in print, has announced their "best of beauty" picks in the October 2010 issue. Coco Mademoiselle made the cut for "Best Sexy Scent" in the magazine's beauty category.
Coco Mademoiselle, which was introduced in 2001, has become a classic fragrance that is highly sought after here in Silicon Valley. Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle has a mix of fruity notes and warm woody notes which make the eau de parfum on the heavier side and appropriate for cooler weather.
Top Notes: orange, bergamot, grapefruit
Middle Notes: rose, jasmine, litchi
Base Notes: musk, vanilla, vetiver, patchouli
Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel is long lasting and on the heavier side; only needing to be sprayed once. As with other Chanel fragrances, there is a slight synthetic tone to the overall scent making the fragrance less fresh than other perfumes in the same luxury category. Although Coco Mademoiselle was named "Best Sexy Scent" by Allure Magazine, the overall fragrance experience is up for serious competition from other classic, heavy evening scents such as 24 Faubourg by Hermes, Nuits de Noho by Bond New York and the now out of production, Gio de Giorgio Armani.
Coco Mademoiselle can be found at Nordstrom Valley Fair and Neiman Marcus Palo Alto. The 1.7 oz bottle is $80 and the 3.4 oz bottle is $115.
