Summer has officially started with the release of Chandon's limited edition bottling of their Blanc de Noirs. The launch was kicked off in Los Angeles with pool party on the rooftop of The London West Hollywood Hotel.
The Southern California sunset and the spectacular views of Los Angeles served as a backdrop for the event. The party featuring this fun sparkling wine was lively and trendy in a summery way. The Chandon bottle was decked out in blue and white stripes along with a red necktie on the bottleneck. The bottle is also clad with an anchor. You might say it is yacht wardrobe meets 1940s sailor suit and swimwear with a current flair. Both the rooftop patio and pool were staged with other beach and pool paraphernalia.
Being center stage, the Blanc de Noirs was a dry sparkling wine created in the Methode Traditionnelle, a method that creates effervescence during secondary fermentation in the bottle. One will find an easy drinking fruity sparkling wine that pairs with any summer faire. In the case of the launch party it was Sliders, Crab Wraps, Chicken Sate, and a Curried Dumpling.
In addition to the Blanc de Noirs there were two great summery sparkling coolers served. These cocktails were Sandia Fresca, a blend of Chandon Rosé, Agave Syrup, fresh lime juice and rose water. There also is some watermelon puree in the drink. The other was Classico Twist with Chandon Blanc de Noirs, St. Germain, lemon twist and mint. The Sandia Fresca was the perfect poolside refresher.
You too can start your summer off on the right foot with the limited edition of Chandon Blanc de Noir a true summer sparkler.
