High pressure will move to the east of the area today. Warm and humid air flowing around the backside of the high will spread northward across the state today. An upper level disturbance over Indiana this morning will track eastward across Ohio this afternoon. We will see partly sunny skies with a chance of an afternoon thunderstorm. Highs today will reach the mid 80s.
It will be partly cloudy tonight with a slight chance of an evening thunderstorm. Overnight lows will be in the low to mid 60s.
On Thursday, a cold front will move southeastward into the Great Lakes. Ahead of this front, instability will increase and scattered showers and thunderstorms will break out across the area. A few storms could be strong on Thursday with gusty winds and hail possible. High temperatures on Thursday will reach the low 80s.
Showers and thunderstorms will persist through Thursday evening as the front moves through. Skies will become partly cloudy after midnight. Lows Thursday night will fall to around 60.
A large area of high pressure will build southeastward across the region on Friday, and maintain control of our weather through the upcoming weekend. This means another extended period of dry weather is anticipated with comfortable temperatures and fairly low humidity levels.
