US News issued their rankings of the best online colleges to offer a Bachelor’s degree program. Champlain College located in Burlington, Vermont ranked in the 25th percentile. It was 54th out of 237 colleges rated. Champlain College was ranked 13th in the North Region.
The rankings were based on three criteria:
- Faculty credentials and training
- Student services
- Technology
In another ranking, Champlain College was among the top 15 colleges in the Princeton Review and ranked third by the Online Education Database.
Champlain College was an early pioneer in online education beginning in 1996. The college itself was founded in 1878.
Online education is a growing trend, allowing students to pursue a degree program while still employed. It offers the flexibility that normal course offerings lack. It is important to note that a college graduate with a Bachelor’s degree will earn about 84% more during the course of his/her career years.
