Bastille, a contemporary French bistro in North Old Town, is hosting a champagne winemaker dinner on November 10 featuring Champagne Janisson & Fils selections.
Dinner will begin with a sampling of Champagne Francois de Rosay paired with truffled popcorn. Scallop Capaccio will follow with a glass of Janisson and Fils Grand Cru.
You'll enjoy champagne the French way (with caviar!) before the main entree of monkfish and oyster curry with stewed fall squash and potatoes. A fresh, traditional rose champagne will accompany the entree.
A vanilla and orange panacotta, pistachio crisp and cranberry chutney will end the meal and satisfy dessert lovers. A smooth, soft Grand Cru Rose Champagne will be served with these delectable treats.
Dinner with wine pairings is $105/person; without pairings is $55/person.
For reservations, call (703) 519-3776 or reserve through OpenTable. Bastille is located at 1201 N. Royal Street in Old Town Alexandria.
