Join wine and food-loving friends at Chaminade Resort & Spa’s 7th Annual Farm to Table wine dinner on Friday, August 15, and continuing each month through October, 2014. Guests are seated at large, beautifully set tables designed to invite conversation and make new friends. These seasonal dinners offer a feast of the senses not only for fresh, local ingredients elegantly presented, but for the jaw-dropping view.

Enjoy a five-course dinner with local, farm fresh ingredients prepared by Executive Chef Kirsten Ponza and her team. Taste wines from Alfaro Family Vineyards & Winery, voted Best Local Winery 2012, 2013 and 2014 by Good Times Santa Cruz readers' poll. Visit with winemaker Richard Alfaro and Chef Kirsten, as well as the featured farmers from Everett Family Farm and Fiesta Farm.

Dinners take place on the terrace, boasting unsurpassed views of the Santa Cruz Mountains and Monterey Bay. A reception with wine, along with butler-passed hors d’oeuvres takes place at 6:00 p.m. followed by a full dinner on the scenic patio at 6:30. 2013 Estate Gruner Veltliner, 2013 Lindsay Paige Estate Chardonnay, 2013 "A" Estate Pinot Noir, 2012 "A" Estate Syrah and 2012 Gimelli Old Vine Zinfandel.

This Zinfandel was just given a high rating by Dave McIntyre, wine columnist for The Washington Post - “Spicy and rich, as good California zin should be, it has flavors of raspberry and cranberry and a warm but not-too-hot finish.”
