It was a wonderful e-mail discussion that started when a Chamber office addressed some college students about their graphic art work. The last e-mail, which is going to be shared with you today, summarizes the importance of understanding the local community.
As both consumers and business owners struggle with finding the perfect financial fit, this Chamber official tries to relate local happenings with using the perfect image, which symbolizes the community.
One more thought I had, on the new logo design: I know that more and more Chambers are moving away from artwork with buildings, etc., and focusing more on being about people. Many I see are incorporating trees representing growth and community. So, we maybe on the right track with using and/or working in the Dogwood Tree in to whatever we do. However, it's probably true that we are more traditional overall. Thanks!
The take away from this is that every student, especially those wanting to land a great job, should focus on the community where the job is. Knowing how the local community acts, or what their culture is, will help you become a more viable candidate.
