The Town of Niagara appears destined to get a chain steakhouse as the successor to the old John’s Flaming Hearth Restaurant.

Town officials will conduct a public informational meeting this Tuesday to discuss plans for a Military Road plaza retail that will include 146,000 square feet of new retail and restaurant space on a 21-acre site located at 1755 and 1785 Military Road. Earlier, Benderson Development officials indicated that a LongHorn Steakhouse is one of the businesses expected to move into the site once it is completed.

Last Monday, the Niagara County Planning Board reviewed the project and recommended approval to the Town of Niagara. Tuesday’s meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. at Town of Niagara Town Hall, 7105 Lockport Road.
