Chaffee County Writers Exchange will be offering a writing workshop, Going Small: The Secret to Finding Your Best Story. Focusing on techniques for clarifying ideas, increasing emotional impact and making details come to life, this workshop designed for writers of all genres and is open to the public. The workshop will be presented by Salida’s award winning author, Laura Hendrie. This is fun workshop, concentrated on focusing in on the story.
The workshop will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Sangre de Christo Electric Association, 29780 N. Hwy. 24, in Buena Vista. The cost is $30.00 for Writers Exchange members and $45.00 for non-members. New members receive a discount, $40.00 for the workshop and a $5.00 fee for a half-year membership, good through April of 2013, for a total cost of $45.00. Participants are asked to bring a pot-luck dish to share for lunch along wit6h pen and paper for writing exercises that will hone your writing skills.
