CES 2014 press release today. The CES 2014 convention to be held Jan.7-10 in Las Vegas at the Convention Center will launch the first ever online community to facilitate the hiring and career development of military veterans throughout the technology community.
An estimated one million veterans who served our country are transitioning back to the workforce bringing valuable skills and experience. USTechVets seeks to facilitate veterans' transition to civilian careers, reduce veteran unemployment and provide America’s veteran workforce access to employment in the technology industry.
A special introduction program to Vets will be held Wednesday, Jan. 8 at 12:45 p.m. PT at CES 2014 International. To find this program a booth will locate in the Las Vegas Convention Center in the Grand Lobby.
Veterans who want to gain information about the program from CES can go to the booth at this time and location for a presentation and information. The presenters will be Gary Shapiro, President and CEO, CEA; Bobbie Kilberg, President and CEO, NVTC and Steve Cooker, Executive Vice President of Global Government Solutions, Monster Worldwide.
You need not attend the convention but you can contact immediately the website USTechVets.org to gain contact information immediately and access to employers and programs. You may contact Laura Hubbard directly at mobile: (703) 507-8871 for information about the program at CES.
The International CES is the world’s gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies. It has served as the proving ground for innovators and breakthrough technologies for more than 40 years—the global stage where next-generation innovations are introduced to the marketplace. As the largest hands-on event of its kind, CES features all aspects of the industry. And because it is owned and produced by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), the technology trade association representing the $203 billion U.S. consumer electronics industry, it attracts the world’s business leaders and pioneering thinkers to a forum where the industry’s most relevant issues are addressed. Follow CES online at www.CESweb.org and through social media: CEA Social Media.
