Cerocahui - Mexico

A side trip from the Bahuichivo Station of the Chihuahua Pacific Railway (CHEPE) takes one to the Cerocahui Valley, on the edge of the Barrancas de Cobre (Copper Canyon), Mexico's Grand Canyon.

Awaiting the visitor in this mile-high valley are an ancient Spanish Jesuit mission, vineyards and a winery, the Tarahumara Indians, crashing waterfalls, and vistas into the vast Copper Canyon.

A few first class mountain lodges welcome the traveler.
