Centro starts Osteria Centro dining series on Friday

Centro will introduce a new dining series this Friday, January 24. Osteria Centro is Executive Chef Derek Eidson's "traditional Italian take on rustic dining in a fun and relaxed setting." Eidson has lined up menus for dinners in February and March as well (see below). The dinners are $30 (plus tax and gratuity) per person, and the four-course meals will be served in the South Union Bread Cafe space adjoining Centro at 6:30 p.m. House red and white wines and a selection of Italian cocktails will also be available for purchase. Reservations are required and can be made by calling Centro at (515) 248-1780. Here is a look at the Centro Osteria dates and menus:

Friday, January 24
Pasta: Handmade Corzetti with Walnut Pesto
Entrée: Duck Saltimbocca
Dessert: Blood Orange Tart with Mascarpone

Friday, February 21
Pasta: Handmade Pici with Duck Ragu
Entrée: Monkfish, Niçoise style
Dessert: Olive Oil Cake with Pistachio

Friday, March 14
Pasta: Cacio e Pepe with Handmade Spaghetti a la Chitarra
Entrée: Veal Scallopini with Porcini
Dessert: Tiramisu
