February in Richmond is boat show season! We have already enjoyed one show in January, so what is on the calendar for this month? Three fine shows are scheduled for February and all are within a few hours driving from Richmond.
First is the Mid-Atlantic Sports and Boat Show at the Virginia Beach Convention Center February 10-12, 2012. Check out the latest boats at Tidewater’s best dealerships! If you live near Smith Mountain Lake, or just can’t get enough of boat shows, check out the 2012 Roanoke Boat Show! Hosted by the Southwest Virginia Boat Dealers Association, the show will be held at the beautiful Roanoke Civic Center on February 24-26. Be sure to make room on your calendar, because Friday admission is free! Doors will open Friday at 1pm until 7pm, Saturday 10am – 7pm and Sunday 10am – 5pm. Look at the show layout and other details at www.roanokeboatshow.com.
Boat shows offer the lowest prices for the year on a new boat, and interest rates remain at historic lows. Even if you are not in the market for a new boat, those dealers may have a previously-owned boat that is just what you have been looking for. Besides, why not look over all the new models to stay informed of the latest developments in boats, engines and accessories? Don’t forget that each show will have booths for lenders, insurance, water sports equipment, electronics…anything you could possibly need for a great boating season!
All three shows are family-friendly, so bring the crowd, and imagine yourself on the water this year enjoying your new boat!
