Wine lovers are in for a treat this week as Central Market’s Wine Week begins today and includes a week full of events like wine dinners, classes, tastings and more. It will run until Tuesday July 15 at all Central Market locations including the Broadway location in San Antonio.

There will be nine meet and greet events with winemakers throughout the week. Check online for details and a complete list of winemaker events.

Saturday July 12 from 12p.m. to 3p.m.

Wine Week Sip & Stroll - Thursday from 5p.m. to 8p.m.
There will be several stations throughout the store where guests will be able to enjoy various wines paired with foods that complement each selection. Experts will talking about wine flavors, aromas and different wine production techniques. For a $10 admission fee guest will also receive a wine glass, a corkscrew, a Central Market wine guide and a Central Market wine event guide.

There will also be the following Central Market San Antonio Cooking School classes:

Trefethen Family Vineyards: Napa Valley
Thursday July 10 at 6:30p.m.
Guests will be able to spend some time with the winemaker learning about the family, the techniques and tradition of winemaking. They will also enjoy a sampling of small plates like pan roasted oysters paired with Trefethen Dry Riesling, lettuce wraps with chicken and charred corn paired with Trefethen Chardonnay and risotto with porcini mushrooms, red wine, sage and parmigiano reggiano paired with Trefethen Merlot.

Food and Wine of Paris
Friday July 11 at 6:30p.m.
This Parisian inspired cooking class is inspired by Matisse: Life in Color which is the summer exhibition at the San Antonio Museum of Art. Recipes include moules marinières (mussels in white wine), endive, pear and roquefort salad and more.
