Central Florida Job Fair Next Week

The Central Florida Employment Council (CFEC) will be hosting a Job Fair on March 26th, 2014 at the Central Florida Fair Exposition Park, 4603 W Colonial Dr., Orlando, FL. The CFEC Job Fair begins at 12 noon and ends at 4 PM. Parking and admission is free to all job seekers.

Online pre registration for the job fair is encouraged but not required. People looking for work should dress professionally, practice a pitch when talking to Recruiters and bring resumes. Preparation is the key to success when attending any job fair. A listing of employers is available on the CFCE web site a week before the event. Serious candidates should carefully review the list of participating employers, research specific employers and approach those employers during the job fair. Recruiters appreciate candidates who have taken the time to understand their company and the jobs available before they show up at a job fair.

The Central Florida Employment Council's Job Fair is the second of six job fairs hosted by CFEC this year. Historically, these job fairs have been well attended with employers having hired as many as 1200 positions. The CFEC which has been providing services to the unemployed for over 20 years in Central Florida area. The mission of the Central Florida Employment Council is to assist Central Florida businesses to quickly fill job vacancies through the effective placement of qualified candidates from within the community. CFEC partners with both local business and government to host job fairs through out the year.

Closing out last year the unemployment rate for the state of Florida came in at 6.2% Meaning statewide there are approximately 583,800 Floridians out of work. In Central Florida metro area, the unemployment rate is 5.5% much lower than the state unemployment rate and the national unemployment rate of 6.5%. never-the-less there are nearly 63,800 Central Floridians unemployed.
