A brilliant poetry professor becomes the subject of research in Wit. Dr. Vivian Bearing, a professor who is now battling cancer, recounts how she arrived at this point. She also has to handle the various aspects of research, which the doctors may be administering for reasons other than trying to help her.

Margaret Edson created the production, which is based partly on her experiences in a hospital. Wit earned Edson the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1999.

Following Wit, Centerstage will present auditions for its 2014-15 season. Auditions are to happen in March.
