Saturday brings another street festival to the Riverwest neighborhood which sometimes gets a bad wrap for it's occasional incidents of crime. This vibrant neighborhood is home to great bars and restaurants in the city, some of which will hold as venues for music in during the festival this weekend. The free Center Street Daze will take place between Humboldt and Pierce and starts at noon. Here are some of the music lineups at participating venues.
Impala Lounge at 701 Center St. will have Resister Transisttor perform at 1pm. Following at 2pm is Scrimshaw, Uptown Savages at 3pm, Lack of Reason at 4pm, Fahri at 5pm, and Doctor Chows Love Medicine closing at 6pm.
The Uptowner at 1032 Center St will have music all day long from The Beat Mann DJ Charlie Hustle. On their performance stage, The O'Brian Band kicks things off at 1pm. Thriftones will hit the stage at 2pm, followed by Independent Idols at 3pm. All Hands In play at 4pm while Undercover Organism performs at 5pm. Closing out the stage at 6pm is Stubby Chubbz Brass Band. Tournaments for 8 ball, pinball, and dodgeball will be happening at the Uptowner throughout the day. Check out the Center Street Daze Facebook page for more tournament information.
After parties will be going on as well. The Uptowner will again present their after party at their location featuring Dusty Fingers founder DJ Danny Dan The Beat Mann, Avets, JDL Rockwell, and DJ Charlie Hustle. Quarters Rock n Roll Place at 900 Center St will be holding their afterparty starting at 8pm and will feature Phylums, Appleseeds, Suspicious Beasts, Lewd Reach, and The Delphines. DJ sets from Rio Turbo and Hollywood Hughez will also be happening.
Enjoy this festival before the leaves fall and snow arrives.
