As you may or may not know, the Census for 2010 has officially been passed out. There still is time to fill it out and mail it in!
It truly is important for everyone to fill the Census out, it counts citizens and non citizens alike. There are only ten short questions and a prepaid envelope is included for you to send it back, so it can't get much easier. The Census benefits us as Coloradans as well as people living in the United States and Puerto Rico.
The Census will help communities in receiving more than $400 billion in federal funding to go towards things like hospitals, schools, senior centers, emergency services, job training centers, and bridges, tunnels and other public works. Along with this, the Census also helps to determine the number of seats our state has in the U.S. House of Representatives.
It is important to note that all the information you include on the census will be kept protected and your private information will never be published.
