Censored Gulf news: Oily Corexit still bubbles ashore (video)

Video ©2010 John Wathen, Hurricane CreekkeeperHurricane Creekkeeper John L. Wathen has presented a short documentary, Will Our Beaches Never Be The Same, highlighting the 8-month environmental and community damage from the Gulf of Mexico "crime of the millennium" against humanity and planet that continues. The oil keeps washing ashore. Black ops continue aerial spraying Corexit.

To demonstrate the unprecedented and ongoing crime with impunity, Mr. Wathern highlights Dauphin Island Beach in Alabama.

John Wathen is among Gulf reporters "dedicated to exposing the truth behind the BP oil disaster." His website is named BP Slick.

"Some knew they were saying goodbye to a lifestyle," he writes in his film introduction, "while others thought it would only be a short break in the action."

Sponsored by WATERKEEPER Alliance (http://saveourgulf.org), with aerial photography courtesy of South Wings and Project Gulf Impact support, Mr. Wathen documents in the new short documentary the continued cover-up of both the crime and the poisons on the beaches. He shows the absurd futility of BP workers on the beaches.

On December 11, Wathen and Pam Batson filmed Dauphin Island beach. Wathen says he found the amount of heavy equipment on the beach shocking.

"Heavy equipment was being unloaded on the beach only days ago," says Wathen. "The sand all seems to be brown, the same color as Corexit. The beach was cover with Corexit oil balls. I won't call these things tarballs because that's not what they are."

"In all my life and all my time on Dauphin Island, I've never seen this... Thick brown sludge on top of the sand. Very few shore birds were seen... There's a sheen on top of the water, light as it may be, it's still not suppose to be there."

"All you had to do was brush your foot on the sand and you see old oil as well as new oil," he reports.

Contractors along the surface said they are sifting the sand.

On the surface, to Wathen, it first seemed to be a heroic effort to clean the beach.

"The futility of it all came very clear when we looked and found people with little minnow nets sifting tarballs out of the sand. Four-wheelers running down the side of the beach pulling rakes that seemed to be nothing but blending in the oil with the sand..There was a brown-yellow look to it from the tide line all the way to where the water was. It got darker as it got closer to the water. Were they cleaning it, or were they just blending it into the sand."

Security soon appeared the last day Wathern filmed. They announced the rules including having to escort people.

One guard explained that "people are happy they are getting their beach refurbished."

"I'm so proud because it's really going to raise the value of the property," stated one of the BP workers. "Good Lord works in mysterious ways, you know?" she said and laughed.

A BP worker explained to Wathen, what he has heard before - that it was just dirt washing up on the shore.

"My greatest fear is that this is only the beginning, just the first year," Wathen states.

"This is a disaster of historic proportion, and the people once again are paying the price - for greed, profit and lack of accountability."

According to this writer's sources, Corexit was aerial sprayed around 4 a.m. one morning last week in south Louisiana.

The ocean currents have slowed down as a direct result of the BP disaster. One that was created on purpose! The evidence is undeniable! The next disaster will dwarf the BP blow-up. When, and I say "when" the ceiling to that oil reservoir colapses...it WILL change the climate on a global scale. The amount of methane hydrate that will be released into the atmosphere is unimaginable! It will resemble a HUGE champagne bottle spouting off in the gulf waters. And it will last for a very long time. This is as real as it gets people! There are ships on site with ROVs running 24/7 watching the floor of the gulf. Oil and methane hydrates are seeping up through cracks for miles around the well site. Eventually...it will colapse and then we are in trouble. Make preperations now.

Deborah Dupre is an enviro-whacko nut case, as are the other people who have commented on this article. The spill is over, most of the oil is gone, move on with your lives and stop obsessing about it and looking for disasters everywhere!

Change your name from John to "Sheeple". You don't know sh!T! From your lame comment.... I'd bet that you get most of your information from the government controlled mainstream media. You are a stupid schmuck to say "most of the oil is gone". How do you know that? You don't! You are just like Alex Jones. You take one persons word and run with it.

"Condemnation without investigation is the height of ignorance"

You need to study more, read more, and damnit... LEARN MORE! Until then... keep your pie hole shut you stupid putz.

BP share holders cashed out all their stocks a week prior to The Deep Water Horizon tragedy. Not to mention it was blown up on Adolf Hitler's birthday... April 20th. WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!! WAKE UP!!! Start using your critical thinking skills. Our country is GONE! All you can do now is prepare.
